Our Teams

Accounting and Finance

The Accounting and Finance department is responsible for the maintenance of our internal control structure, day-to-day financial reporting, general accounting, and financial planning and analysis for VGT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Tax, audit and accounting compliance
  • Treasury functions including cash management and risk management
  • Working capital management (accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, etc.)
  • Game profitability reporting and analysis/Annual Budget process

Business Development

The Business Development department is responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives related to growth of the company in new and existing markets. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing/leading the feasibility and evaluation process of new strategic initiatives
  • Oversight of VGTs Mergers and Acquisition process
  • Assessing and prioritizing new markets for existing and future VGT products
  • Performing critical financial analysis related to various business initiatives
  • Periodic reporting related to industry and competitive market intelligence
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships

Gaming Compliance

The Gaming Compliance Department ensures the Company's compliance at all times with rules and regulations of Gaming Regulators and Operators to prevent Notices of Violation, Licensure suspension or revocation, and loss of gaming revenue.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing internal policies and protocols to ensure compliance with external rules and regulations
  • Managing technical compliance
  • Regulatory compliance and internal testing compliance of VGT products
  • Serving as technical liaison between Company departments
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining test plans for all VGT products

Game Design

The Game Design Studio designs and develops the highest quality gaming experience for video and mechanical reel slot players. We work in a fun, highly collaborative and open environment, using both internal and off-the-shelf tools to deliver incredible games. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and establishing new game features and mechanics players will love
  • All aspects of game design and development, including art, audio, engineering, math modeling, testing, and quality assurance

Hardware Engineering

Hardware Engineering is responsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical design of our Electronic Gaming Machines. The department ensures our gaming machines are innovative and eye-catching to provide casino patrons receive an entertaining experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing field technicians with easily serviceable equipment that meets or exceeds safety regulations and FCC compliance
  • New product designs
  • Continuous product improvement

Human Resources

The Human Resources department is a key business partner and has responsibility for assisting with workforce planning and promoting positive associate relations, accomplished  through a strong commitment to effective recruiting and staffing, associate retention, performance management, and health and welfare benefits. This group also works together to support and partner with our Organizational Learning and Development team. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing/fostering a company culture of continuous process improvement, teamwork, and high performance
  • Implementing and administering programs and policies that promote a positive work environment and competitive organizational structure
  • Supporting a company-wide commitment to VGT's Mission, Vision and Values

Information Technology

VGT's Information Technology team supports business units in the implementation and application of appropriate information technologies to daily operations. Our Guiding Principles drive us to innovate, to create value through the services we provide, and to deliver Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and troubleshooting internal computer networks
  • Internal and customer technical support
  • Maintaining the security of VGT's IT infrastructure
  • Managing electronic communications and data management systems

Legal

The Legal Department consists of skilled in-house attorneys, intellectual property specialists, regulatory compliance professionals, licensing experts, paralegals, and assistants responsible for providing a wide range of legal services and advice to the company, its executives and line managers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advice on company strategy
  • Crafting key company policies
  • Establishing corporate governance processes
  • Overseeing document preparation
  • Managing outside legal counsel and lobbyists

Operations

The Operations Department executes the deployment and maintenance of VGT products and services, both domestically and internationally. This department includes the Supply Chain Team, which consists of Purchasing, Material Planning and Inventory Control, Service Support and Data Control, Logistics, Manufacturing, Repair Services and Quality Control, as well as the Service team, which includes the Center for Customer Excellence, Field Engineering and Field Service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting over 20,000 player terminals in the U.S. and Mexico
  • Improving operational systems, processes and policies
  • Increasing the effectiveness of every VGT department

Organizational Learning and Development

Organizational Learning and Development's (OL&D) mission is to "Promote Growth! Inspire Learning! And Create Winners!"  Our goal is to help individuals achieve personal excellence in learning and skill development to contribute to the overall excellence of VGT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing internal Assessments and Surveys, Analysis, Coaching, Consulting, Culture Change, Facilitation, Instructional Design and Training & Development

Performance Excellence

The Performance Excellence group delivers ever-improving value to customers and stakeholders by contributing to organizational sustainability, continuously improving overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities, and increasing organizational and personal learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communications and sharing of best practices
  • Training and educating in the use of process improvement and problem solving methodologies and tools
  • Serving as a coach, guide and educator for process improvement teams

Product Management

The Product Management department is focused on bringing great products to market. The work we do is strategic, tactical and highly collaborative — we coordinate with nearly every other area of the business in order to facilitate timely delivery of innovative and high-performing products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying market needs
  • Analyzing product-focused business opportunities and formulating marketing plans
  • Demonstrating products to customers, both pre-sale and post-sale
  • Creating interest and demand for products

Sales

The Sales Department is responsible for attracting, securing, and retaining customers for VGT products in order to ensure the continued growth of VGT revenue. We strive to maintain a sales organization capable of attracting and supporting the best Sales Associates in the Gaming industry. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong business and personal relationships with our partners, potential customers and associates
  • Communicating pertinent information to both our internal and external customers
  • Conveying the ideas of honesty, integrity, and sincerity in both our business and personal relationships

Systems and Software Development

The Systems and Software Development group works in a disciplined Agile/Scrum-based collaborative environment to deliver the highest quality products on schedule. This department designs and develops Game platforms/engines, Server, Database, and Analytics solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with the Product Management, R & D, and Game Design teams to prototype Game platforms/technology solutions, as well as Server, Database and Analytics solutions
  • Design, development, maintenance, quality assurance, and interoperability testing of new and existing Game Platforms and Server solutions
  • Providing engineering support to Game platforms and Server products deployed at customer sites or regulatory labs
